Balloon Lab

Overview:

Balloon Lab's vision is to give customers the ability to see their balloon decorations as they design them online.

Challenge:

Develop an interactive, dynamic and fun way for users to design their own balloon decorations, and then purchase them online.

Solution:

The balloon design centers allow users to choose sizes, colors and other options depending on the decoration to create thousands of possible combinations right before their eyes. The design centers were developed using Flash and then integrated into a Magento eCommerce platform.

Tara Designer Homes

Overview:

Tara Designer Homes creates some of the finest luxury homes on Chicago's North Shore. They needed a new presence on the web to match the exceptional quality they bring to their buildings.

Challenge:

Create a simple, elegant and classy website that showcases Tara and how they build their magnificent homes.

Solution:

The color scheme was kept to a simple grey palette to allow the sumptuous photography of Tara's homes to jump off the screen. The use of a prefrabricated Flash gallery system, Slide Show Pro, was used to allow Tara photographers to easily update certain sections with ease.

Shuffle Tech

Overview:

Shuffle Tech manufactures and sells the first fully automatic card shuffler for consumers.

Challenge:

Shuffle Tech needed a quick eCommerce solution on a small budget with the ability to fully integrate Quickbooks accounting software.

Solution:

A very simple design was applied to a Network Solutions eCommerce platform. Network Solutions offers quick and simple integration with Quickbooks.

Ride Rite Air Bags

Overview:

Ride Rite manufactures inflatable dunnage products for all types of freight shipping. They were looking to create an identity independent from their parent company.

Challenge:

An existing character, "Bag Man," was already developed and a very graphic and visual representation was desired for the site design.

Solution:

The profile of a shipping pallet and the back of an open shipping container were used as vehicles for displaying the navigation and content of the site. The text balloon above Bag Man's head is linked to an external file allowing Ride Rite to update a set of randomized messages with ease.

Geri Emalfarb

Overview:

Geri Emalfarb is a Baird & Warner real estate agent for Chicago's North Shore. She wanted to have a website with her own unique identity outside of the canned pages provided by sites like B&W and Realtor.com, which limited her flexibility.

Challenge:

Give Geri the ability to display all her listed properties in a clean, organized fashion while providing her pages for featured projects and developers with whom she has special relationships.

Solution:

A very simple HTML site was designed to organize Geri's property information better than her canned sites. The site does not restrict the amount of information she can provide for each property. Special sections for featured developers and projects were created for extended information.

Physicians' Hair Restoration Center (PHRC)

Overview:

PHRC is a hair transplant clinic in Katy, Texas started by Dr. Carlos Puig, a pioneer in the development of hair restoration. Dr. Puig wanted a website that used very modern technology and had more personality than any other hair restoration site on the web.

Challenge:

Create a stylish, inviting design that engages the user and informs them through means other than just written text using technologies not found on other hair restoration sites.

Solution:

Live action video of the doctors and staff was shot using green screen and integrated into a Flash navigation. All major section pages and several sub-section pages have integrated video.

San Carlos Condominiums of Gulf Shores

Overview:

San Carlos Condominiums were built during a big boom in construction in the Gulf Shores area of Alabama. Two thirds of the units were handled by Global Wealth Solutions who wanted a custom website designed to showcase and inform people about the available units.

Challenge:

GWS wanted a very compact design to accommodate any browser size. They also wanted a layout that did not follow the standard header-content-footer layout.

Solution:

Time constraints and budget lent themselves to using Flash to design the entire site. Flash allowed for complete freedom in design and arrangement of information to suit GWS vision.

LeRoy Neiman Murals

Overview:

Lora D. Art Gallery (Chicago, IL) retained the right to sell two large murals by famed artist LeRoy Neiman. Both a 24-page brochure and website were needed.

Challenge:

The brochure was designed first, so the website had to follow the design scheme and provide all the information included in the brochure.

Solution:

A basic HTML structure with the LightBox plugin were used to display all information and photos from the brochure.
